Creating a XAML document from Inkscape

In Inkscape, you can save as XAML for use with Silverlight. I've run across a number of documents on the Internet saying that it's unreliable and giving SVG graphics examples that don't convert over perfectly.

While they're usually true that if you open their files and save as XAML then import, they don't work as you'd expect, I've found that in every case so far, the fix is easy.

In Inkscape, go to EDIT and then SELECT ALL IN ALL LAYERS.

Following that, do an UNGROUP in the OBJECT menu repeatedly until no further ungrouping happens.

Then save to XAML.

Keith - Father of two wonderful children. Second to that, passionate about video games and even loves a bout of good c# programming. Yes, he's strange. See more at this site!

Chris - Good friend. Sees things much the same way as Keith, minus a few shades of "weird". Also, more fun to listen to.
